God's Will

In Mathew 7:21 Jesus said,"Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

Are we doing all we can to do God's will? How can we know God's will? By knowing God better through His Word and by "praying without ceasing" as the bible commands us. By fellowshiping with God's people, by worshiping. All of these things contribute to our ability to "walk in the Spirit" and not in the flesh. God is in control but it is easy to become distracted and to forget that if we are not careful. When we pray the Lord's prayer, we pray "thy kingdom come, thy will be done."

Let's make it a priority to seek God's will and to apply biblical principles to our lives as we "grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ." Then we won't end up being people who cry Lord, Lord and not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

I ask the Lord to help me to "stay on track" for it is so easy to get 'side-tracked"
As you go about your day, meditate on the scripture and ask the Lord to show you what it means for your life.
