Tribute to Ted Kennedy

Lady of Light

Senator Ted Kennedy passed away last night. He is someone who obeyed the scripture "Look not on your own things but also on the things of others." His accomplishments for the elderly, the disabled, women and children demonstrate that he had an awareness of the needs of others and acted upon it.

He had much family tragedy in his life and had quite a battle with cancer and yet continued with perseverence.

He will always be remembered as a great historical figure - though his life was not perfect, we must always remember that "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOd." (Romans 5:23) He always pressed forward and continued to strive for those whom he represented. He was a true advocate of many.

Perhaps we all need to be aware of the temporary nature of this earthly life and to
try to make our life count for Jesus and to love and care for others. Kennedy
left a legacy and an example for us to think about and consider. We can learn not only from his accomplishments, but from his mistakes as well.

God bless Ted Kennedy - may he rest in peace and I pray for comfort for his loved ones at this time.

God bless you and have a great day!
