Warning of False Prophets

In First John 4:1-4 it states: "Beloved, believe not every spirit, byt trythe spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the owrld.
Hereby, know ye the Spirit of God: EVERY SPIRIT THAT CONFESSETH THAT JESUS CHRIST HAS COME IN THE FLESH IS OF GOD.
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

This reminder is also given: 1John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than He that is in the world."

This last verse is a real encouragement because the world is tainted by Satan and their are many temptations and so we must remember that God is greatest in us than any outside circumstance. This should make us stronger as we meditate on this verse.
When you are met with different trials, this is a good verse to remember along with
Proverbs 6:3 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, it all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path."

I hope that you aren't facing any great trials today, but you may know someone who is, and you can share these words of encouragement with them and also know that the same will prepare you for things that you may encounter in the future. Remember, there are false teachers out there so it is very important to "stick with the Word of God".
