Light or Darkness??

Lady of Light

In John 2:9-11 states:

"He that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him."

We can either walk in the light of God's love or walk blindly in the darkness with hatred for our brothers. You know you are in the light if you love. If you are harboring unforgiveness or hatred, do according to 1 John 1:9 and claim God's promise that "if you confess your sins, he is just and faithful to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

May you be blessed by the reading of the word.

God bless you and have a great day.

Do the Will of God

Lady of Light

In the book of 1 John, 2:15 - 17, it tells us:

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will og God abideth for ever."

These verses remind me not to be distracted by the world, but to focus on God and Jesus and the purpose for which we are here to testify of the love of God and the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. The word also tells us to pray without ceasing, and one can't really be in a prayerful state if inundated by the things of this world. May you ask God to give you a time of meditation and closeness to Him and to keep the right perspective. I pray that God will guard our minds and hearts in Christ Jesus.

God bless you and have a great day!

Grace of God

Lady of Light

In 1 Corinthians 1:4-9, Paul says:

"I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge: Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord."

In these verses, Paul acknowledge the gift of grace that God has given to us and speaks of his faithfulness and of the gifts that God gives us. In this way, we are equipped to serve Him.

May God bless you as you meditate on this word.

God bless you and have a great day~

Serving Jesus

Lady of Light

In John Chapter 12:23-32 states in the words of Jesus:

"The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone, but if it die, it bringeth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my father honor. Now is my soul troubled and what shall I say? Father save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Father glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying I have glorified it and will glorify it again. The people therefore said that it thundered: others said an angel spake to him. Jesus answered and said This voice came not because of me but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to me."

These verses are chocked full of information to help us to understand Jesus better and to understand God's will concerning him. Jesus says that if we follow him and serve him it will give honor to God. He asks God to glorify His name and also says that he (Jesus) will draw all men to him. This is a great promise. May you be blessed as you meditate on this passage.

God bless you and have a great day!

God's Healing Prophesized

Lady of Light

In Malachi, Chapter Four, it says:

"For behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud yea, and all that do wickedly shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings; and ye shall go forth, and gruw up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts. Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments."

In these verses, he speaks of his promise to the righteous that he will have "healing in his wings". He also says to remember the law of Moses which is the ten commandments. Stay strong in faith and do what is right and you will reap your reward of healing, and those who are wicked and proud will get their just deserts.

He also promises to send a prophet before he comes.

This is the end of the Old Testament.

God bless you and have a great day!

Sign of the Coming of Christ

Mathew 23:31

Today we may wonder what is happening in this world - much of what is happening is the things that the bible says would happen prior to the coming of Christ. In Mathew 23:4-13, Jesus warns us and tells us what will happen, as He answers the question of the disciples "What shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world?" (Mathew 23:3):

"Take heed, that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for al these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet, against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another and many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure, the same shall be saved."

As you can see as you look around you, many of these things have begun to come to pass; we need to be strong in Christ and to trust him, regardless of what happens and must be faithful for His name's sake.

God bless you and have a great day!
