Lady of Light
I believe that there is nothing so soothing as meditating on the goodness and greatness of God. In Psalm 145:8-12, David is filled with praise:
"The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom."
If we are looking for comfort, or looking to live with the qualities of goodness that God has shown towards us, these are good verses to pay attention to. Grace, compassion, patience and mercy are qualities that we all need to cultivate towards others.
As the verses express, all of the saints will make known to others the mighty acts of God and the glory of his kingdom. Be sure to look for opportunities in word and deed to share the goodness and greatness of God with others and you will be blessed.
