Gospel received by Revealation from Jesus Christ

Lady of Light

In the book of Galatians, the apostle Paul is addressing the problem of false or perverted gospel. Apparently, this was a problem in the days of the church at Galatia.
First, in his introduction of his letter in Galatians 1:1-5, Paul reiterates the gospel and tells what exactly Christ did for us:

"Paul, an apostle (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead:) And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever: Amen."

He affirms that grace and peace come from above and that Christ died for our sins, according to God's will.

In verse 8, he says "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you tnan that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

This is a strong indication that there was a problem with false teachers and preachers, as there is today.

In verses 11-12, Paul tells them: "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."

We must be aware, in today's world, that so-called bible teachings and Christian teachings can be "after man" and not of God and His Holy Spirit. Beware of any teaching or belief that is not clearly stated in the Word of God. Mostly, do not depart in any way from the true gospel of Jesus Christ, regardless of who is preaching or teaching it.

God bless you and have a great day!
