Abound in Love

Lady of Light

In 1 Thessalonians 3:10-13, Paul is writing to them, letting them know he is praying for them, and what he is praying for. Perhaps this should be our prayer for ourselves and for others as well:

"Night and day, praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith. Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you:And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints."

We all need to have our faith perfected and to love more and to be unblamable in our hearts. Paul speaks here actually of prayers preparing our hearts for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Perhaps this is the most significant goal of our Christianity.
We tend to think about all of the things we can do to serve, but the preparation of our hearts is the key concern.

Today, I pray that God will continue to strengthen you in whatever areas in which you may lack faith, and to prepare your heart for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God bless you and have a great day!
